yellow onion outer skins bermuda onion outer skins white hard boiled eggs 2 qts. boiling water 3 tbl. vinegar cheesecloth

INSTRUCTIONS
In a 2 quart pot boil water with 3 tablespoons vinegar. wrap cooled hard boiled egg in outer skins of yellow (or bermuda) onions and place in cheesecloth and secure with rubber band. Place wrapped egg in boiling water/vinegar, turn burner to a simmer and leave egg in water for ½ hour. Remove wrapped egg and let cool completely. Remove cheesecloth and onion skins for a beautiful marbled pattern and texture on egg shell!
