INGREDIENTS
- 1 ¼ cups packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- Colored sprinkles or sugar crystals
- 32 milk chocolate candy kisses, unwrapped
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Using a hand mixer fitted with the flat beater attachment, beat brown sugar, butter, peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract at a medium setting until well blended.
- Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour, baking soda, salt, and, baking powder until blended.
- Roll 1 tablespoon-size portions of the dough into balls (about 1-inch diameter) and roll in colored sprinkles or sugar. Place on parchment-lined cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Do not over bake.
- Immediately press 1 candy in center of each cookie. Slide parchment sheet of cookies onto rack to cool completely.
