Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Mackerel or catfish
- Turmeric powder
- 1 cup onion (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp ginger (grated)
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp mustard seed
- 1/2 tsp Carom seed
- 4 tbsp Kundapur Masala
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 4 green chilies
- 2 sprig curry leaves
- 2 tbsp Happy Grove Coconut Oil
- 1 tsp Tamarind pulp
- 1/2 tsp jaggery
- 1/2 cup fresh coconut (grated)
Directions
- Marinate fish with salt and turmeric powder for 15 minutes.
- Make a fine paste of coconut, 1/4 cup of onion, 4 tbsp of kundapur masala, garlic, chili powder,coconut ,jaggery, and tamarind pulp.
- In a pan heat coconut oil. Add mustard seed, Carom seed. Add 3/4 cup of chopped onion, curry leaves. Fry onions till they are translucent.
- Add ground masala paste add water Cook on medium flame.
- When it starts to boil add fish slices, grated ginger and silted green chilies.
- Cook for 5 minutes and serve hot.
