Roasted Tomatillo Mild Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 red onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 cayenne peppers
  • 5 tomatillos roasted
  • 1 banana pepper
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1 bunch cilantro

Directions

  1. Peel your tomatillos. On a stove or over a flame, roast your tomatillos until they are blistered. If you do not have a way to blister them, bake them at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
  2. Cut all of your larger veggies (onions, bell peppers, etc.) into fourths so that they can fit in the food processor. Add in the onion, bell pepper, cayenne peppers, tomatillos, banana pepper, jalapenos, and cilantro.
  3. Pulse the food processor 6-10 times until you have a chopped texture. Serve immediately with tortilla chips
