Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Directions
- Heat the oven to 375°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, stir milk and vinegar until blended. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter with a fork or a pastry blender until coarse crumbs form. Stir in the milk mixture until moistened (dough will be slightly moist).
- On a well floured surface, roll dough to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut with a 3-inch round cookie cutter and arrange 2-inches apart on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining dough.
- Bake 26 to 28 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Serve with Sausage Gravy, if desired.
