INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs, unbeaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
DIRECTIONS
- Place butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Using traditional beaters, cream butter and sugar on speed 3, until fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating approximately 1 minute after each addition. Add vanilla and beat for about 2 minutes.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Beat 3 minutes at speed 3.
- Place in a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325°F for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
