Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
Directions
- In a small saucepan over medium-high, heat water until boiling. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Add cinnamon sticks and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool 2 hours.
- Place in an airtight container and refrigerate. Leave cinnamon sticks in syrup for added flavor. Syrup can be added to coffee or tea with half and half, if desired.
