Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup plain Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound fresh chicken tenders

Directions

For Air Fryer: 

  1. In a small bowl, combine eggs and water. In a medium bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add vegetable oil and mix thoroughly to coat crumbs. 
  2. Dip the chicken tenders in egg mixture and roll in crumb mixture until evenly coated. Add coated chicken tenders to air fryer basket in a single layer. 
  3. Set air fryer temperature on 400°F. Turning halfway through, cook 8 to 10 minutes or until temperature reaches 165°F when tested with a meat thermometer. 

For Air Fry Toaster Oven: 

  1. Preheat toaster oven on Air Fry to 450°F. 
  2. In a small bowl, combine eggs and water. In a medium bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add vegetable oil and mix thoroughly to coat crumbs. 
  3. Dip chicken tenders in egg mixture and roll in crumb mixture until evenly coated. Add coated chicken tenders to air fryer basket in a single layer. Place basket on bake/broil pan. 
  4. Slide pan into upper rack position. Turning halfway through, cook 16 to 20 minutes or until temperature reaches 165°F when tested with a meat thermometer.
